Passwords and access
Strong, unique passwords per service, stored in a suitable password manager, limit the impact of leaks. Two-factor authentication (2FA) should be enabled wherever it is offered for sensitive accounts (email, admin access, cloud).
Updates and backups
Keeping software and systems up to date reduces the exploitation of known vulnerabilities. Regular backups that are tested and isolated (including off the network) allow you to recover data in case of an incident or ransomware.
Awareness and support
